I think he notices. It is not why he cares for me, but I believe he considers it a pleasant addition. I feel the same about him, after all.

[Venat resists the urge to laugh, but not to smile. Poor Izutsumi -- at times she must surely feel like a square peg aimed for a round hole. Venat is glad, and not surprised, that she finds some comfort here.]
